Castle View Glamping sits on a working farm surrounded by countryside in the heart of mid-Wales. The location puts you within reach of the Elan Valley dams, Brecon Beacons National Park, and a footpath leading directly to Tinboeth castle ruins. Llandrindod Wells itself is the nearest town, with a pub and restaurant a mile away. The region draws walkers and fishing enthusiasts; beyond the immediate area lie Hay-on-Wye with its literary festival, Brecon with its jazz festival and Roman fort, Rhayader's red kite feeding station, and the unusual events at Llanwrtyd Wells.
The pod is a single open-plan space on the ground floor. It contains a double bed, a sofa bed for children, a shower room, and a kitchen with electric hob and combined microwave-oven-grill. You get a TV with Freesat, parking for two cars, and an enclosed garden with decking and furniture. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included; heating is electric central. A travel cot and highchair are available if requested. The property draws water from a well. Smoking is not permitted.

Very comfortable and well equipped with everything I needed. Welcome box much appreciated. Spotlessly clean. Was an overnight stop with perfect weather, so very lucky. Beautiful view and very peaceful listening to birds and sheep. Fridge is small and in low cupboard so need to get right down to floor level to access it. Good hot shower and very comfortable bed. Comprehensive local information in folder. I’d happily come again🙂

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 young children. Was absolutely brilliant. Hot tub was heated up on our arrival. We paid extra for balloons and banners as we were celebrating a birthday. They were great. Also had a little welcome hamper which was really lovely. Plenty of wood to last the weekend. I usually clean the place down when we go to stay somewhere but I really didn't have to here it was all beautifully clean. It was also so well equipped. Plenty of towels, cutlery, utensils, a small fridge with milk, cups glasses and plastic cups for kids too. Owners even brought us down some fresh eggs from the farm!! Brilliant! Plenty of tea coffee and sugar, washing up liqud and spray so I needent of brought all this. Bonus is I read in the welcome book that each customer gets fresh water in hottub! This was a relief. Hot tub was brilliant says it takes 2 hours to heat but we found it only took about 1 so maybe in colder months it would take longer. The temperature of the tub got quite hot so keep an eye if with little ones. Also we noticed the hot water from the tap gets scolding almost instantly so make sure you assist kids at all times when using taps and shower. It's a beautiful quiet area with a large enclosed feild so felt lovely and safe for the kids to play. I thought it would get chilli at night inside but it was so warm all night we didnt use any heaters. Thank you so much =)

The pod is ok a bit dated. Fridge very small. Nothing extra special. Hot tub nice. Certainly not 5 star. The owners should warn about the flies so that we can bring some fly repellent candles or fly killer. Plenty on amazon. Nice scenery.

The pods are fantastic, especially as they have their own wood fire heated hot tubs. The location is stunning, with great scenery, and birds of prey regularly circling low over the field. The owners are really nice too. You'll have a lovely time staying here.
