Clock Tower View

Photo: The Clock Tower Tea Room

Knighton straddles the Welsh-English border as a working market town with independent shops, cafés, and pubs lining streets that have changed little in decades. The town sits on Offa's Dyke Path, the long-distance walking route that traces the ancient frontier, making it a natural halt for people crossing the borderlands on foot. Clock Tower View occupies the first and second floors of a building directly opposite the town's clock tower, putting you at the heart of all this activity.

The apartment sleeps two in a double bedroom on the first floor, where you'll also find a bathroom with bath and shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Upstairs, the living and dining room has a Smart TV and views across the town. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are all included. Parking is on road. No smoking.

From here, you can walk to the Offa's Dyke Centre for route planning and local history, or set out directly onto the surrounding countryside. Presteigne, Llandrindod Wells and Ludlow are within reach for day trips. The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies a short drive away. The building itself houses a tea house downstairs, so breakfast and afternoon tea are available without leaving the premises.

We was away for a couple of days, we have seen this small tearoom, and we was not sure if it will be the best place to have breakfast. But as soon as we entered, we did not regret it as we have been made feel like at home. The food was the best, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was so nice that our baby was fast asleep in there within 5 minutes. We definitely recommend this place for a little bite either you are local or passing by. We will come back soon. Thank you

Upon entering the cafe we were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. Nothing was too much effort and the service was incredible. Very attentive and inviting plus they were great with my 2 year old son! The food was amazing and the cake was delicious! We were not locals and only in the area for a short holiday but were made to feel right at home! Couldn't recommend this cafe more and very reasonably priced too. Thank you for your brilliant hospitality.

Visited this quaint little cafe when I was near Knighton on a family holiday. The cafe is located in a shop with the most amazing little ornaments and bits and bobs. The cafe was lovely and the cream tea was delicious. The home baked scones with cream and jam were so yummy. Service was great by two lovely ladies who looked after us. Definitely worth visiting.
