You arrive at Polly's Cottage to find a converted barn on a gentle slope, its ground floor laid out as one flowing space. The kitchen runs into a dining area and living room, where a wood burner anchors one end. A sun room catches the light and the landscape. Through to the shower room, then back to climb to the mezzanine bedroom above, where a kingsize bed sits under the eaves. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen and towels—are provided, along with wi-fi and an initial load of wood for the stove.

The enclosed garden behind the cottage has a patio and furniture for sitting out. A river runs along the rear boundary. On-site parking for one car, and bike storage if you're exploring the surrounding hills. No smoking indoors. This suits two people after a quiet base in mid-Wales, with enough room to spread out and a proper kitchen for cooking. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 10am.
