The Granary is a converted barn near Montgomery in Powys, set in countryside on the edge of Llandyssil. It sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king, a double, and a room with two singles. There are two bathrooms—one ensuite to the double, the other a walk-in shower on the ground floor. The whole property is yours alone.
The ground floor opens into a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer, leading to a dining area and into a sitting room with a wood-effect electric stove. Exposed beams run across the ceiling. Doors open onto a patio with seating and a private six-person hot tub. A second bedroom is upstairs, where vaulted ceilings mean limited headroom in places. Everything needed for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating (via air source heat pump and underfloor heating), bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. There is parking for six cars and an enclosed garden. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. No smoking inside.

Highly reccomened. Jane the host went above and beyond with helping us on our stay nothing was too much. The cottage is beautiful, pristine and very well equipped. A wonderful girls weekend away to celebrate a 40th birthday. We will be returning! Thank you so much xxx

The Granary is one of three converted barns, spacious and tastefully decorated. The property benefits from a large dining kitchen, downstairs bathroom, large double and twin bedroom alongside a huge bright lounge with a mezzanine double and ensuite. Outside space had a outdoor table, seating, low level fencing around a large shared car park. A great hot tub and social seating area. You do adjoin neighbours but we didn't find the courtyard layout too intrusive though its not totally private. The hosts are at hand at some point everyday and go out of their way to meet any additional requirements or information you require The rural location is quite prohibitive for provisions, but several small villages are within 2-10 miles. The roads are narrow and steep though not ever so busy, dog walks can be found off grid. The rural location of the property is not without expected rural obstacles such as poor phone signal, not great Wi-Fi, limited convenience food and flies but the open air provides clear night sky's, great views, amazing wildlife, photo opportunities and peace and quiet. I happily tolerate one to experience the other!

We had a lovely week stopping in Swallows Rest the house has everything you need with the added extra of a lovely hot tub tucked away in the Welsh countryside ideal if you want a quiet break away 👍👍
