About The Dragon Hotel
An indoor swimming pool is not something you expect at a small-town hotel on a market square, but The Dragon Hotel has one, alongside 20 en-suite rooms in the heart of Montgomery. It's a straightforward base for exploring this part of Powys, with family rooms available for those travelling with children and pets welcome for those bringing four-legged companions.
Guests get breakfast and a restaurant on site, plus a bar and outdoor seating for a drink when the weather allows. Kids' meals are available, drinks can be brought to your room, and there's free WiFi throughout. Practical extras include luggage storage, a laundry service, and meeting rooms for those combining business with the stay. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car easy.
Dingle Gardens gives a nearby point of interest for a walk, and Welshpool lies within reach for a longer day out. There's also a golf course nearby, along with pubs, bars and restaurants close by for evenings out beyond the hotel itself.
