Wonky Pod

The Neath Valley's reputation for outdoor activity centres on the waterfalls, gorges and rock formations that define Waterfall Country. Wonky Pod sits within this landscape, making it a base for hikers, climbers and mountain bikers rather than a retreat from it. A pub is less than a mile away on foot, and the valley's forestry trails, cave systems and famous climbing spots like Dinas Rock are practically on the doorstep.

The pod is a single open-plan space on the ground floor. It contains a double bed, a sofa bed that sleeps one more, a shower room, and a kitchenette where you can cook. The essentials—electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels—are provided. Outside is a decked balcony and parking for one car. Shared on-site are a firepit and BBQ, plus a washing-up room and recycling facilities. The property is non-smoking.

This works for couples, solo travellers, or friends taking turns on the sofa bed. After a day outside, the TV and Wi-Fi keep you occupied indoors. Larger attractions like Bike Park Wales and Zip World are within 30 minutes by car; the coast is 19 miles away.
