About Anchorage B&B

Elcho Place sits close to the Firth of Forth shoreline in Prestonpans, and it's this seafront setting that gives Anchorage B&B its character - a stone-built guesthouse just a short walk from Seton Sands Beach, with the East Lothian coastline on the doorstep. Free parking nearby makes arriving straightforward, and the surrounding streets have a quiet, coastal feel.

Rooms are bright and cosy, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and guests can arrange drinks brought to the room or a packed lunch for a day out along the coast. There's a garden to sit in, luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures, and reception is staffed around the clock. Free WiFi is included throughout.

Beyond the beach, the area has golf and fishing within easy reach, along with pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evening meals, plus local entertainment options. Prestonpans station lies a couple of miles off for onward travel. It's a straightforward, well-kept base for exploring this stretch of the Forth coast.

Brewed for Adventure

My dad and I stayed at Anchorage B&B for three nights during our trip around Scotland and Edinburgh, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our hostess, Gina, was amazing—such a warm, friendly person and always happy to have a chat. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts were excellent and prepared with great care, with plenty of options to choose from. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views and set in a charming little town. There’s also a lovely local pub nearby, perfect for an evening drink. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We would highly recommend Anchorage B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in a beautiful setting.

We stayed 2 nights and found Gina to be the perfect host, offering lto cook whatever breakfast we wanted, being flexible on scheduling breakfast times, and lovingly placing snacks in our room. The location on the water and beach was delightful, and watching the fishermen with their boats and lobster cages was unexpected fun!

I recently stayed here with my partner for 3 nights, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s truly beautiful! Our host Geena went above and beyond for us! Asking when breakfast suited us, layed out a beautiful spread of fruits, cereals and even full English. The bedroom was so cosy and homely, super comfy bed, little touches of tea & coffee, and even cotton pads! She even cleaned our room every day. Truly feel so grateful we got to stay here and for the amazing treatment we got! You must go here!! 💗💗 P.S The beach outside is a bonus! Thanks Again Geena, Sofia & Ben xx

We recently stayed at the Anchorage bed and breakfast. What a lovely welcome we received. The room was very comfortable clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast the next morning was excellent, fresh fruit, cereal full breakfast, the ingredients spot on. Our host Gina was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this guest house in Port Seton.
