What visitors say
Even though it was a Tuesday I thought it best to make a reservation. I’m pleased I did as most tables had reserved cards on them. We ordered our drink and sat down. Overall the food was very nice. I had the meat pie. The meat was hot and cooked really well,as were the chips. The crust was hard and dry even with extra gravy. My wife’s haddock was excellent with a lovely batter. Both puddings were spot on. As was the service from the young ladies. The pub has a good sized carpark.

My family and I came here for dinner this evening and we were welcomed with a smile by the server (with the Skyrim pendant 🙂) who was very pleasant and working very hard to see to all customers. The atmosphere of the place was brilliant and everyone was very friendly. I had the fresh Haddock and chips and to sum up simply, it was one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it. Proper home cooked chips, mushy peas really tasty and the tartar sauce seemed homemade too, was delicious. We'll definitely be returning here when we're next in the area.
