About Swn Y Mor Certificated Location

Tucked into the village of Chwilog on the scenic Llŷn Peninsula, adults-only Swn Y Mor – Welsh for 'sound of the sea' – occupies six and a half acres of well-kept grassland with sweeping views over the Gwynedd countryside. A duck pond with its own island provides a peaceful spot for evening drinks, while campers praise the warm welcome and immaculate facilities. Four-legged friends are welcome on leads, and barbecues are encouraged.

Location-wise, you're ideally placed: Criccieth's charming seafront is five minutes east, Pwllheli's harbour ten minutes west, and the dramatic peaks of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park lie half an hour inland. The bridges to Anglesey are 35 minutes away. Note that some pitches are reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members, so check before booking. It's a tranquil, green base for exploring mountain trails, coastal paths and everything this stunning corner of Wales has to offer.

What visitors say

Rachel Singleton

Absolutely perfect. Small site which was great, means you chat to everyone. Very dog friendly, even hosts dogs come to say hi. We were in a fenced in pitch which was huge, we had a LBW crafter and a big tent and there was still plenty of room for our dogs to play in. There is a fab grassed area which well-behaved dogs are able to have a run off a lead. Perfect place as a based for exploring. Pam and Gary were the perfect hosts and run a very clean, tidy campsite. Thank you

Lovely quiet campsite, enclosed pitches where excellent for our dog. Amelia was very welcoming and helpful. Would love to return. We were in our motorhome but we did need the car

Lovely site. Love the idea of the pens as you can be more relaxed about your dog being outside. Friendly owners and site very well kept. Lovely views of the sea, and plenty of things to see and in the local area.
