What visitors say
Really disappointed with our experience at Mega Centre Gaming Room for my son’s birthday party. We booked for 8 children, but when we arrived there were only 4 proper gaming seats and 4 tall bar stools in the room. Yes, there were 8 controllers, but the boys were all 8–9 years old and the bar stools were far too high and uncomfortable for them to use properly. When I complained, I was told the room was simply too small to fit 8 gaming seats — something that should have been made clear when taking our booking for 8 children in the first place. We paid for a full gaming experience and did not receive that at all. To make matters worse, the snacks included in the party package were completely forgotten and I had to remind staff. The whole event felt very unorganised. After I complained, they offered me a £50 refund if I came back to reception on the way out. I honestly forgot, but at that point it wasn’t even about the money anymore. It was about paying for something that wasn’t delivered properly and having a stressful experience on what should have been a fun birthday party.

I visited soft play today. I was seriously concerned about the safety of my 18-month old daughter. She played in the “under 4” area but was constantly at risk from older children who shouldn’t have been in that area. I was there with her and even with my constant supervision, it was a real effort to safeguard her from being knocked over or jumped on (in the ball pit) by much older children! There was no staff in sight other than those working in the restaurant area. I see there have been similar reviews left in the past and there seems to have been nothing done about enhancing safety or enforcing age restriction so that smaller toddlers can play in safety.

Went for a birthday party at the laser tag. The organisation for birthday party is not the best, I think they should review the time the kids spend eating and playing time and ask the girls who take care of the party to be a bite more smilly and stop chewing on her gum . We spend 30mins in the party room without any music... I went to the soft play downstairs for some food and unfortunately they stop serving food at 3 pm and the play area was no very clean. I know is a kids place but the people working there didn't make me feel kids friendly.
