Lane End Cottage is a converted barn on a small working farm outside Redcar, where sheep graze nearby and ducks wander past. The property sits within its own courtyard with a lawned area and patio, plus access to a further acre of shared grounds. It's a rural setting that still sits within reach of the Yorkshire coast and its towns.
The ground-floor layout means everything is accessible without stairs. Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a kingsize bed with an ensuite shower, the other contains zip-and-link singles that convert to a super-kingsize if you prefer. Both have televisions. The main bathroom holds a slipper bath and shower cubicle. The open-plan kitchen and living area is where you'll spend time together, with a full range of appliances for cooking, a dishwasher, and a Smart TV. One dog stays free, though it must remain on a lead in this sheep country. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the wood burner.
There's private parking for two cars and a BBQ in the courtyard. The cottage suits families or groups wanting countryside peace without travelling far from the coast. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Thank you for having us again Debbie! We had a wonderful time staying at Stone Croft Holiday Cottages. We have stayed in 2 out of the 3 accommodation options and each time have been wowed by the cleanliness, attention to detail and comfort provided. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, homely but modern place to stay a few mins drive from Saltburn.

Went last minute, (22-29/07/22), drove up not knowing what to expect. Arrived on site and was met by Debbie, both her and her husband Mike are lovely people and owners. We went into the cottage and was very pleasantly surprised how nice the whole cottage was, it was absolutely stunning inside and out. We used the cottage as a base, nearby Saltburn, Marske and Redcar all had lovely beaches which our granddaughter Harper loved. We also got to visit Staithes which is about 20 minutes drive, also got to visit the Owl Sanctuary again close by. Debbie took our granddaughter to feed her 10 sheep and also collect eggs from her chickens and ducks, which Harper loved. All in all a very pleasant holiday, stunning accommodation and location, highly recommended. Thank you Debbie and Mike for an excellent holiday.

As the cottage was already booked we have just spent three nights in the Cabin at Stone Croft. What a treat! Debbie and Michael have worked extremely hard to provide two wonderful places to stay and are committed to ensuring everything is just right. In a very tranquil setting, we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The cabin is extremely well appointed, with great thought having gone into providing everything you could possibly need, including a welcome pack that included freshly laid eggs from their own hens. It has stunning 180° views across the Cleveland hills and towards the sea- a wonderful place to relax of an evening and to watch the rare breed sheep and Clippy the pony in the fields, or the hares bounding along , the swallows resting nearby ...and the possibility of a sighting of the barn owl... and just a 2 minute drive into Saltburn or even a quieter Marske , perfect for lovely beach walks . Debbie and Michael are very knowledgeable of the local area and can recommend walks, restaurants, and even those elusive places to park for free! Give it a try.... you will be sure to return... as will we .
