Holgate’s Granary

The Ribble Valley spreads across rural Lancashire with walking country on all sides. Clitheroe, a mile away, is the market town at its heart—home to a Norman castle, independent shops and restaurants. From here you can reach the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering 300 square miles, or head towards Pendle Hill and the Tolkien Trail. Smaller villages including Waddington, Chatburn and Ribchester dot the valley, each with country pubs and access to the surrounding fells and farmland.

Holgate's Granary is a semi-detached barn with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping six. The ground floor opens into a living and dining space with French doors to an enclosed patio; the kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances for self-catering. Upstairs are three bedrooms—the first with a zip-and-link super king bed (or two singles) and ensuite, the second with two 3ft singles, the third with two 3ft singles. A family bathroom with bath and shower serves the upper floor. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and biomass central heating throughout keep the place warm. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included. Two cars can park on site, and one well-behaved pet stays free of charge.

The property suits families and couples wanting a base for exploring the valley or simply walking from the door. It is not available to smokers.
