Doggetts Farm - Orchard House

Orchard House is a converted farmhouse sleeping ten across five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite shower room. The ground floor centres on an open-plan living and dining space with a fully fitted kitchen—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and everything else needed to cook from scratch. There's a second sitting room, useful for groups who want to spread out. Upstairs, the bedrooms branch off with views over gardens; four have their own balconies or Juliet terraces.

What makes this genuinely comfortable for a week or fortnight: underfloor heating and an air source heat pump mean the house stays warm without fuss. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the wood burner are all included. There's a wood-fired hot tub in the back garden (sleeps four), electric car charging, and parking for four vehicles. A travel cot and highchair are available. The property accepts one pet free of charge.

The location is rural Rochford, a market town with coastal access nearby. Families will find the layout generous—two living spaces mean children and adults needn't be in the same room all evening. Groups of friends have similar freedom. No smoking indoors.
