Eagles Nest at Greyfriars

Winchelsea sits on the edge of Romney Marsh, looking toward the coast. Eagles Nest at Greyfriars occupies the first floor of a stone mansion built in 1819, with views across parkland toward the sea. The village has a farm shop and pub within walking distance, and Rye is two miles away; Camber Sands lie six miles along the coast. The ruined abbey opposite dates from the 13th century and is a designated Site of Special Historical Interest.

The property sleeps four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super king (or twin singles on request) with an ensuite; the other has two three-quarter double beds and a separate shower room. The living room contains the original fireplace with a working woodburner, along with a 45-inch smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and coffee machine. Heating is underfloor and individually controlled room by room. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and an initial basket of logs come as standard.

A private enclosed garden contains a wood-fired hot tub for four and a BBQ, with a separate roof terrace accessible from all rooms. Parking is provided for two cars. One pet is welcome at no extra cost. The property is no smoking. There's parking for two cars and a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.
