About Winchelsea Lodge
Winchelsea Lodge is a low-rise hotel building set back off Hastings Road on the edge of Winchelsea, built for practicality rather than period charm, with its own car park and easy access on and off the road. It makes a sensible base for exploring this corner of East Sussex without any fuss over where to leave the car.
Rooms are en-suite, with family rooms and accessible rooms available, and drinks can be brought straight to your room. There's a restaurant and bar on site serving breakfast and evening meals, plus outdoor seating for warmer days, free WiFi throughout, and a 24 hour reception so arrival times are never a problem. Meeting rooms are also available for those combining business with the trip, and luggage storage is on hand for early arrivals or late departures.
The location puts Rye, Camber Sands and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve within easy striking distance, while golf, fishing and further pubs and restaurants can all be found nearby. It's a no-nonsense place to sleep, eat and set off from each day.
