About Clwydian Glamping Pods and Campsite

Clwydian Glamping Pods and Campsite sits just outside Ruthin, tucked into gentle Denbighshire countryside with views towards the Clwydian Range. The four ensuite pods come fully kitted out—proper beds, heating, and their own facilities—while three grass pitches suit those who prefer traditional camping. Dogs are welcome throughout, and campfires are actively encouraged, adding to the relaxed, outdoorsy feel.

It's a small, friendly setup that stays open year-round, making it a useful base whether you're walking the Offa's Dyke Path, exploring Ruthin's medieval streets, or simply after a few nights under bigger skies. No wifi keeps things properly unplugged, and while there's no motorhome waste disposal, the core facilities—showers, drinking water, clean loos—cover what most campers need.

Such a great camping/glamping spot. It's very quiet and peaceful. Ray and Rose are very welcoming and couldn't do enough. You are surrounded by rolling fields full of sheep and great wildlife. The facilities are clean and well looked after. Warm showers, tidy kitchen and a lovely "village hall" to sit in if it's raining.

What an amazing lovely little campsite. The facilities are second to none. Having the full use of a kitchen and summer house is such a luxury whilst camping. The hosts are also really nice. We also had additional guest for dinner . 3 chickens and Foxy the dog. My kids loved every minute.

We had another fantastic stay here. We hired out the whole campsite for our group of 8. The facilities are amazing and the price is brilliant value. You can go for a lovely walk straight out of the camp gates. The site is fully enclosed if you bring you dog, (although small dogs could sneak thru the gate) which is such a plus. Raymond part runs and owns the campsite. He is a real character and a top gent. He is a delight to chat to, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you are thinking about booking, don't think anymore and book your holiday here, you will not be disappointed! We plan to come back every year until we are too old or dead!

The location of this property is outstanding. Camping for 5nights was so peaceful. A lounge is available for inclement weather along with a great kitchen facility. The shower building is among the best I’ve seen for a campsite. A quiet privately owned site. This is definitely a place I’d go back to.
