About Hafoty Boeth
Roaming the gorgeous Welsh hills by day, cosying up in a snug shepherd's hut by night – that's the rhythm of a stay at Hafoty Boeth, a tiny smallholding near Corwen in the Denbighshire hamlet of Brynsaithmarchog. The owners have lived here for over 40 years, building quite the menagerie: alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats, geese, and a pet squirrel called Hazel. Guests are encouraged to meet the animals, and you'll definitely get acquainted with the peacocks that roam freely around the place.
Each self-contained hut comes with underfloor heating plus a separate heater, a kitchen (fridge, cooker, microwave, all the crockery you need), an ensuite shower room, sitting area and TV. Outside, a barbecue lets you cook while soaking up spectacular mountain views. It's only half a mile from the A494, making explorations easy, yet supremely peaceful with little lanes to wander nearby. A wildlife-rich, walker-friendly spot with five-star reviews – though with just a handful of pitches, booking ahead is wise.
