Glynafon Certificated Location

Always a pleasant welcome. Very useful site fairly close to Wisemans beach....just a short walk. Well serviced pitches water, drainage etc. You do need £1 coins for the on site electric meters. Loos + showers etc. Highly recommended.

When you arrive at Glynafon you wonder what you have let yourself in for! Yes its a working farm but it was like driving through Steptoe's yard to get to the pitches. The actual CL area was decent enough with adequate size pitches, although pitch 2 was a bit awkward in getting access. Views were not the best, but I've seen worse. Although these were fully serviced pitches, the electric isn't included in the cost and was paid for by inserting £1 or £2 coins in a meter. I have no problem with this, but upon our arrival the meter for our pitch was showing in arrears, admittedly this was quickly sorted by the owners. We only ran the fridge freezer on electric everything else either 12v or gas and we were finding that it was costing over £2 per day in electric. Maybe I'm out of touch, but that did seem quite high just to run one appliance. The toilets and showers were OK ish, but not very well maintained. The bins looked like they hadn't been emptied for some time. And a toilet seat was broken and just left leaning up against the wall, which appeared to have been like that for some time. The showers were paid for by meter at 20p for two min of hot water, although it did say you need to allow 30 seconds for it to warm up! Needless to say we made use of our own shower seeing as it was a serviced pitch. Location was spot on with the Wisemans Bridge Inn only a 10min walk away and Saundersfoot only a 30 odd min walk. Public transport nearby into Tenby was handy and we made use of it. Would I stop here again? Probably not, but if it received a bit of TLC then that would be a different matter.

This little campsite is lovely, so close to Wiseman's bridge, just a 10mins walk from the campsite to Wiseman's bridge. Easy walk from the campsite to Saundersfoot & in the other direction Amroth. You can get the bus outside the campsite to Tenby & many other towns. We have been here a few times now. Mary is so welcoming & a really friendly helpful lady. Real gem she is & the campsite...

Friendliest CL we've ever stayed on, the site owners and the other campers, some of which were repeat visitors Peaceful, reasonably priced and in an excellent location, which is what we were looking for. £1 coin meters for EHU charged at residential rate not commercial so cheaper than bigger sites. Water and grey waste on each pitch. Toilet and shower which we didn't use. No TV reception but good signal on EE for streaming from the firestick. ½ mile flat walk along an off road footpath to the Wiseman's Bridge Inn and the beautiful beach, both dog friendly. We walked on to Saundersfoot, the cliff tunnel was being repaired so it was a bit of a hike over the top through the woods but coming back we walked over the beach as the tide was out. In the other direction another flat, mostly off road walk along a stream and trees to the Kilgetty iron works where there was also a walk though woods to an old colliery. Toilet disposal could do with updating and it isn't the most picturesque site but if it were perfect it would probably cost twice the price (and deserve to). We enjoyed our 4 night stay during our June roadtrip around Wales.
