Small, beachside touring park at Wisemans Bridge, two miles from Saundersfoot

About Wisemans Bridge Caravan Park

Wisemans Bridge Caravan Park occupies a genuinely enviable spot right by the beach in this quiet hamlet, two miles up the coast from Saundersfoot. With only around nineteen pitches split between hardstanding and grass tent plots—all with electric hook-up—it's a small, unfussy site that trades bells and whistles for location. The adjacent Wisemans Bridge Inn provides proper pub meals and atmosphere just steps from your pitch, while the beach itself, directly across the road, delivers a peaceful stretch of sand well away from Saundersfoot's busier crowds.

Reviewers praise the site's position on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path—ideal for walks towards Tenby or north to Amroth and Colby Woodland Garden—though some note facilities can feel a touch tired and prices run a little high for what's on offer. Dogs are welcome on leads, and the old railway tunnels linking Wisemans Bridge to Saundersfoot make for an atmospheric coastal stroll. It's a straightforward, no-frills base that suits walkers and anyone seeking simplicity over polish.

We had a lovely stay at this small, quiet campsite, which is in a fabulous location opposite the beach and close to the local pub for meals. The pitches were tidy and the facilities (toilets and showers) were very well kept. Just a couple of little things which would make it even better: a coat hook in the toilets to hang a bag on and a shelf in the toilets to put towel etc on whilst having a pee so as not to hog the shower.

Excellent location however we arrived at 10 past 5 to the reception closed, tried to call the numbers in the window but no answer, called into the pub to be greeted by an older very condescending man who just rolled his eyes and told us to pitch up. Showers weren't very clean, toilets could do with a hook or 2. Neighbours were very loud, using the bushes behind their pitch as a toilet before they headed to the pub at 7pm and then up till 1am talking loudly with music playing. The pub wasn't serving food but had an expensive taco pop up which although very tasty was not worth the money and had run out of several things on the menu. Overall not a great or welcoming experience. After 8 nights in campsites around Wales this had the worst facilities and was the most expensive - feels more like a money making scheme that something they actually care about.

What a great site, vastly improved since our last visit. Ee phone and ee wifi work now, now there is a signal and we also picked up tv just fine. Showers have all been improved, still cold but much better than they were. Pub is as good as ever and the location is just superb. Yes it’s expensive but it’s the location.

Our family stayed here with their children (it was fully booked so we couldn't, unfortunately). What a beautiful looking site in a perfect location for the beach, nearby large pub and walking to Saundersfoot and the Wales Coastal path. We will definitely try and book again... it's popular for a reason!
