Claremont Hotel Saundersfoot

Free parking on arrival which was great. There wasn’t anyone on reception to greet us, however when we rang the bell a lovely lady approached and was welcoming, she was lovely. We then went to our room but there was no help in hand or offer, if you struggle with stairs this place isn’t for you as there is no lifts and lots of stairs. The main room where the beds are was spacious and tidy, the bathroom was very confined and small but clean. The carpets were stained and grubby looking, the bed frame was a little dusty and lots of cob webs as shown in picture below. This was above the bed but more in corners of rooms and in the windows by the blinds. Great view and could slightly see the sea. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were too soft which wasn’t the best, but each to their own taste. The walls were cracking and paint was chipping away. The rooms and decor was dated and needed some tlc. There was no staff at sight at first when going to breakfast so we felt a bit like deers in the headlights but eventually a lady said we could sit anywhere but we were a bit clueless what was on the menu or if we needed to help ourselves. The customer service could have been better in breakfast but wasn’t poor either. The breakfast was lovely and good choice however it would be nice if the option was there for pasty’s of some kind. When we checked out then again had to ring the bell as no one was at reception but again a lovely farewell of the lady. Just would have been nice to see some staff there when needed. Overall lovely stay, one night was enough, but I do believe slightly overpriced for what it’s worth. We would return if things improved, however if not then we wouldn’t. Thank you for our stay.

Recently stayed at the Claremont and it was lovely. Turned up feeling very ill but the owner went out of her way to make us comfortable while I got better, for which i am extremely grateful. I have Crohns. Place is lovely, rooms very clean, breakfast was a choice of fruit, cereals, yoghurt or cooked breakfast. All very nice in a lovely dining room. Would recommend.

Stayed in this B&B for a long weekend, couldn’t fault it at all. Great sized room with comfy bed & tea facilities topped up daily. Seats and coffee table in a bay view window which was a lovely touch. Parking was easy and plenty available, as well as the location just outside of Saundersfoot town/close to the coastal path was more than ideal for us. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, we had a cooked breakfast all 3 mornings and it was lovely every time. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice clean room with all the amenities we needed. We had the Glen suite at the top with fab views but was very warm up on the third floor but that was to be expected in summer. Furniture was a bit dated but thats just a taste thing. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely. Plenty of parking. Definitely will stay again.
