This has been possibly the 4th time we have been to the restaurant in the past few months. The first times were excellent- food - service was great. This last time was a total disappointment . We attempted to book no pick up. Eventually left a message to book for 5.30pm Wednes 17 th asking to confirm- nothing so took a chance . Took a while for a young lady to ask us for drinks order - she took our food order also . Thought it was best to do them together because she was very pre occupied talking to a colleague and an ex colleague to attend to customers . This was so different than previous visits . A definite can't be bothered attitude . I ordered vegetarian chilli- was described as mild. It didn't seem to be to me-i found it to be hotter than mild. When someone eventually came to ask if we were happy with our meals a young man came . I did indicate I found the chilli to be too hot . I asked if there was something to cool it down. On return he said there was nothing - another i can't be bothered . No offer of replacement nothing. I left well over half of my meal . On collection of plates I informed the waitress I was unable to finish it because it was too hot . Another shrug of the shoulder - certainly customer satisfaction not high on the list. All in all an extremely disappointing visit from start to end. Not really a great choice for vegetarians . I've had the same thing each time I went . Decided to try the other offer. Nothing on the special board for veggies . Probably won't bother with another visit . Such a shame we were so impressed previously

We went here for an evening meal here, and it was the best meal we had all week. The food was absolutely lovely and presented well. I had the pork belly, and my wife the seafood pie. We would definitely recommend it as a place to eat. The staff were very polite and friendly too. The manager (who's name I have sadly forgotten, sorry!) took the time to have a little chat with us at the bar too, and told us about the various accommodation they have there, and we will consider this when we go back to the area. I can't obviously comment on that as we were not staying there. But if you want a nice meal out, in our opinion, this would be a place to go.

Went for first visit while on holiday in the area for a birthday meal. Meal was excellent and generous and reasonably priced. Staff were very helpful and polite (even tacking a birthday picture for us!) Plenty of parking and good atmosphere, certainly would go again. Meal cooked to perfection, full marks to chef 👨🍳

Stayed here as we were going to a wedding nearby. What a find! The rooms are lovely, modern and crisp with a real tranquil feel. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The staff can’t do enough to help and always ready to stop and chat. We will hopefully return to The Falcon Inn and enjoy another couple of nights, a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding area.
