Stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4. The room was amazing, really comfy and big enough for the 4 of us. The staff were incredible the whole weekend. Really welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect. Kids were happy to run around outside and enjoyed the play area. The views are stunning and the whole place is so peaceful. 100% would reccomend.

I took a party of 7 walkers to stay at The Grainary for 2 nights. Everyone was full of praise for the the quality and relaxed vibe of the place. The breakfast alone is excellent, and the breakfast service is top class. We enjoyed meals in the evening and the selection of local ales and spirits available at the bar. Our bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed, but could be prone to being too warm in hot weather as there is no air con, only fans. The views across the small lake out into the dale are stunning. Will be back in the future for sure!

A stunning location with beautiful views. We had a wonderful 3 night stay. Lovely accommodation and excellent friendly staff. Good for walking and wildlife - I recorded 20 different birds before I had even gone 300 metres, and encountered deer in the surrounding fields. I can’t recommend too highly

Haven’t stayed here but can tell you that everything we experienced at dinner tonight was excellent! Lovely welcome, prompt service, amazing food which was exceptionally presented and an idyllic location in the countryside. Well worth the few miles out of town and reasonably priced too. 110% recommended 😊
