We used the camping facilities for one night whilst recently cycling the coast to coast route. The owners were very helpful with allowing us to book a pitch even though the lodge itself was not yet open for the season. We were greeted on arrival and the pitches and all facilities were great. There was even a lovely undercover seating area available to campers to allow us to relax out of the rain for a while.

Very clean and organized. Cheerful staff met me and directed me to my room. Later, she helped me with the tricky door lock. Close to grocery store, bus stop and a couple restaurants. Good breakfast. I stayed in a room, but it looked like nice camping in the back garden. I had the room where the bathroom was in the hall, separate from the room. Had not known this before I came. It was supposed to be just for me, but the overloaded room of campers next to me figured it out and kept using it as though it were a public toilet. They are very serious about “no check in before 3:30p.” I had to wait outside before they would unlock the door. Poor WiFi.

We booked the full building for a long weekend with friends and it was just what we needed. Each of the rooms has its own designated bathroom which makes it ideal for big groups. The sauna was a great feature and we enjoyed the hot tub (an added extra). This was a perfect spot for the dog who enjoyed exploring the garden most of the day.
