Acton Scott farm is wonderful! History brought to life, and so important for children to learn where food comes from. A fabulous day out and not just for children. There’s something for everyone, all the people working here are so friendly and patient, and the cafe rounds off this lovely experience. I loved my visit and will be back. Thank you! Took some butter home - delicious! Can’t recommend it enough, and it’s set in the most beautiful scenery too. What’s not to love?

Not sure if we went at the wrong time but not much happening. We went on a Saturday in the school holidays, I thought it was strange the car park was so quiet. We paid over £60 to get in as a family and it was mostly just equipment and tools left out for you to look at. Most of the things weren't labelled so we were left guessing what they might be used for. We saw 6 people 'in costume'. 3 of them didn't interact at all and seemed to avoid eye contact, one man told us about corn dollies and 2 lovely, friendly women showed us the wool spinning. There are signs up saying there was corn dolly making experience on the day we went but there was no one there. The farm itself is very beautiful and we had drinks in the cafe, it seemed nice but overpriced. No play areas for the kids, they were also disappointed that the animals are held back away from guests behind electric fences. There was not much chance of getting near any animals at the farm. Overall we were underwhelmed and the price was too high for this. The only saving grace was a few of the staff.

We had a wonderful time at Acton Scott in October. The volunteers were so knowledgeable and so many interesting stories and history to share. My kids loved helping to make butter - we brought some home. It was delicious! We have since watched the TV show. Just amazing work done there. Well done.

Had a walk around here after visiting a classic car show in the next field. Lovely and peaceful but not many animals about as it was very hot. The bailiffs garden was interesting and I purchased some fresh broad beans from there which were delicious. A bit pricey at £16 per adult but I guess as all the money goes to keeping this bit of our heritage going that's ok.
