About Travelodge Sheffield Central
Sheffield's centre mixes theatre, sport and shopping within easy reach of each other, and Travelodge Sheffield Central puts guests right among it on Broad Street West. The hotel has 114 rooms across seven floors, with a bar, café and 24 hour reception, and staff are consistently noted for being helpful.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and accessible options are on offer, along with a lift serving all floors. It's worth knowing that some rooms are showing their age, and WiFi has been reported as patchy and costly, so it's not a hotel to rely on for a smooth-running home office. Pets are welcome, which suits those travelling with a dog for a city break.
There's no on-site parking, but the Q-Park Castlegate car park is a minute's walk away, at a charge. Beyond the door, the Crucible Theatre, Ponds Forge Sports Centre and the city's shopping streets are all within walking distance, alongside nearby pubs and restaurants for evenings out.

What guests say
The room was okay but there were bits that weren’t the cleanest and my mum slipped in the bath and got a massive bruise (she’s not old or anything) there was a sign but the sign should’ve been poisitoned slightly to the left because of the way the curtain was you didn’t see it in time and then you slip so be careful when having a shower. The bathroom was mouldy and peeling away a bit but it’s a travelodge so you know what your getting a bit but I do expect a bit more cleanliness and there was white stains on the side of the bed I understand the cleaners may not have a lot of time but I do think they need to a bit of work on that. However the staff were lovely and we had a good stay overall and the location is good

There's no air conditioning, and in the recent heatwave, having just a noisy fan blowing the hot air around the room was awful! Clean and comfy though. Plus a road sweeper outside the hotel was so noisy for well over an hour in the middle of the night not only ensured everyone was woken up, but by the time it left, we were totally wide awake.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL!! I will keep this brief I booked with my partner to stay on 1st June , walked in to reception and straight away did not feel welcome by the staff , when I turned around one lady drunk and asleep on the chair with can of strong cider on the table . We arrived early to go shopping asked could we leave our bags at reception and was told no by rude lady on reception . Then asked could we pay to check in early and was told it would be £15 (states on line that it is £10) yet again another rude lady!!called for the manager and he did not help at all , while talking to the Manager the lady asleep woke up and tried to grab my hand bag by mythos point I was not feeling safe and told the manager that I won’t stay here and left and booked premier inn! Contacted customer services and got absolutely no customer service at all . Also I seen that the staff were talking outside to these drunk people and smoking with them . I fi did not feel safe in reception how would I feel safe in my room at this hotel

Definitely one of the more run-down and outdated travelodges. However the bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. The internet didn't really work and the data signal was iffy at best. Staff were professional and it was easy to walk to the station from there. Unfortunately my room was very close to what looked like a loading bay so the evenings were very loud.
