About The George Townhouse
Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds are both within reach of The George Townhouse, making Shipston-on-Stour a useful base for exploring this part of Warwickshire. The town's High Street setting also puts shops, pubs and local life on the doorstep, without needing to drive anywhere at all.
The hotel itself has 15 rooms furnished in a traditional style, along with a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without leaving the building. Breakfast is included, and free WiFi is available throughout. Those travelling for business are catered for with meeting rooms, while 24 hour reception and luggage storage add convenience for guests arriving at odd hours or breaking up a longer journey.
Free on-site parking is provided, which is a practical point for anyone planning to use the hotel as a touring base rather than staying put. From here, the wider attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds are an easy drive, while Shipston-on-Stour itself offers a quieter, small-town alternative to busier tourist centres nearby.
