About Fossewold Cotswold Camping
Picture the scene: a large field in a valley carved by a brook on the northern fringes of the Cotswolds National Landscape. Add lush hills all around and areas of ancient woodland, sprinkle in a few bell tents, and there you have it: Fossewold Cotswold Camping. This family-friendly farm site sits five minutes' drive from Stretton-on-Fosse (and its pub), in rural Gloucestershire, with oodles of space for kids to run around without stepping on anyone's toes.
The kingsize-bedded bell tents come kitted out with bedding, folding table and chairs, plus fairy lights for a cosy glow after dark. Shower and toilet block facilities keep things simple. Note that pets aren't allowed, so four-legged friends will have to stay home.
Explore nearby National Trust Dover's Hill, a natural amphitheatre with expansive valley views, or Broadway Tower – Capability Brown's folly offers the highest point in the Cotswolds, with 16 counties visible on clear days. Pretty villages like Broadway (20 minutes) and market towns including Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh (both 10 minutes) complete the classic Cotswolds picture.

What visitors say
Upon arrival, the house looked abandoned with all the windows open and had substantial rubbish all across the outside. I understand it is a farm stay, but this was not pleasant to see upon arrival especially the price we paid upfront. When we inspected inside the house, we don't know when the last time it was cleaned. There was a rubbish bag on the floor at entry and a mouldy plastic tub in the kitchen sink. The bathrooms all had spiders - one bathroom looked like it hadn't been touched/cleaned as there was a COLONY of spiders and cobwebs. Bathroom upstairs was carpeted, the toilet bowls were brown and I also noticed that there was small rubbish and floss in the bins meaning the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned. I don't understand how this place has highly rated reviews. Bedrooms did not look inviting as well, as the beds weren't properly made and towels didn't look clean. Spiders EVERYWHERE, so if you have a phobia this is the place to avoid. We have requested a refund and explained as to why we could not stay here for the night. We had to look elsewhere in town to stay which was stressful at 9pm on a Saturday night. Still pending on the owners to reply after almost 2 weeks.
