Ludlow is 11 miles away—a historic market town with independent shops, restaurants and several castles nearby including Stokesay, Powis and Croft. Shrewsbury, Ironbridge Gorge and Church Stretton are equally accessible by car, so there's plenty to do whether you want to stay active or explore museums and heritage sites.

This one-bedroom semi-detached cottage is yours alone, with a living room (woodburning stove, TV, DVD player), a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals, and a double bedroom upstairs. The shower room is compact but functional. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; initial logs for the woodburner come with the booking, and more are available. One car can park on site, and a second by arrangement. One medium-sized dog stays free of charge. The cottage does not permit smoking.
