Couples and small families will find The Old Sweet Shop works well as a self-contained base. The converted building spreads across three storeys, with a double and a single bedroom on separate floors, each with its own bathroom. Downstairs holds the living and dining space, where a 42-inch smart TV and wifi keep everyone connected, alongside a kitchen properly equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and everything else needed to prepare meals. A utility room with washing machine sits on the ground floor, and a decked balcony on the first floor offers outdoor space with furniture. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included.
The Old Sweet Shop sits in Broseley, a working village where a pub, shop and restaurant stand within 100 yards. Ironbridge, the UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the iron bridge itself and the museums clustered around it, lies close by. Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock are all reachable for a day out—each has independent shops, cafés and restaurants. The Shropshire Hills and various National Trust and English Heritage properties are within reasonable driving distance. Non-smokers only, and check-in is after 4pm.
