About Lakeland Caravan Park
Lakeland Caravan Park sits right beside a beautiful sandy beach near Chapel St Leonards, making it a brilliant spot for families wanting straightforward seaside access. The quiet camping area offers electric hook-ups across grass pitches for tents and caravans, plus non-electric tent pitches for those after something more basic. Dogs are welcome, and the showers and toilets are kept clean.
It's worth noting that facilities can feel limited, and depending where you pitch, the walk to the shower block might be longer than ideal. But if you're after an unfussy, beach-focused stay on the Lincolnshire coast without needing bells and whistles, this relaxed site delivers on location.

What visitors say
A couple of nights camping here. It was quiet in the camping area. Plenty of space yo park the car next to the tent. We had electric hookup and the connection was around 10m away. We checked in easily and tolde where to go, so not much interaction with any staff. The site has fishing lakes which were very popular. They have Canada geese and we spotted a family if rabbits too. The location is great. Just behind the beach. It's a shame the tall bank blocks the sea view but that's nature for you. A walk up over the ridge and you are on an unspoilt beach. A lovely walk up to Chapel St. Leonard or down into Ingoldmells. It was also a decent walk into Skegness. The showers and toilets were clean. As everyone has said, the showers stay on for a few seconds, making it a push and hold for rinsing off. Some said it was a fair distance, but its not really. Overall a pleasant experience. We didn't spend a deal of time on the site to be honest. A big fishing shop. No other shop though. If you like a simple, quiet space, vlose to the beach and good access to other parts of the coast this is for you.

Been coming here for around 7 years with my 4 children, absolutely fantastic site, owner doesn’t take no grief from rebels which is reassuring and a happy and safe place to camp. The owner and staff have always been very welcoming and helpful in whatever way they can, the toilets and showers are situated on the Caravan side but isn’t a issue as it isn’t a big site so not far to walk at all.

Very disappointed. Site says leisure onsite for fishing. Match days for the locals that you are not made aware of when booking or checking in. And those locals like to gob off if you try to fish. And then staff trying to get £6 a rod to fish when site clearly says leisure activity and does not say extra cost. It states beach access under leisure activity....Do we pay for this too 😆 What a joke. Did half a day fishing and was full of people from campsite and didn't pay and then the day locals vome they expect you to pay for fishing and for the privilege of someone mouthing at me. No thanks. Won't be coming back now

We were overall hugely disappointed with our stay. The main issue was that there was only one building with toilets—for such a large number of tents and caravans, this is simply inadequate. There were only two female showers and two male showers, which is not enough for the number of guests. The facilities were also located far from the tent pitches. The only toilet/shower block was on the caravan side, making it a long trek from the tents—very impractical, especially for families with children. To access the facilities, you had to scan a fob (with a £10 refundable deposit), which was really inconvenient. A simple PIN lock system would be much more practical. Another major downside was the hygiene issue: ducks and geese were roaming across the tent field and leaving droppings everywhere. It was almost impossible to walk without stepping into it. They were also very noisy during the night. On top of that, a loud water pump used to oxygenate the lake ran all night long, making it very difficult to sleep. Positive point: the location is excellent. The campsite is just a few minutes’ walk from a beautiful sandy beach, which was definitely the highlight of the stay. Summary: Cons: only one toilet/shower block far from the tents, very limited showers, awkward scan card system with a £10 deposit, goose droppings all over the tent field, and a noisy water pump at night. Pro: superb location, very close to a lovely beach.
