What visitors say
Absolutely stunning castle ruins. Dog friendly, peaceful and a photographers dream. We visited on a week day, and I could have spent all day sat in the grounds. Lots of Barn Martin flying displays and songs. No cafe though, so take a flask and some lunch and soak up the tranquility.

Raglan Castle is a fun and historically important place to visit. You can explore every corner within 45 minutes. The mix of medieval and 16th-century architecture is fascinating, especially as the castle fell to ruin not due to time but England's tumultuous history.

Well worth a visit. We were lucky to visit on a lovely quiet weekday with stunning weather so it felt exceptionally peaceful and beautiful experience. Amazingly well run so doesn't feel like the usual shambles of a Cadw historical site. However could still do with more information on the boards as you go around to give it a more in depth experience.
