About Mill Farm Country Park

Right on the edge of Skipsea village, this family-run country park delivers exactly what campers praise most: generous flat pitches, immaculate facilities with spotless toilets and reliably hot showers, and a genuinely peaceful atmosphere (noise curfew 10pm). The handy woodland dog walk directly across the road gets particular mention, and staff are consistently friendly and helpful. A three-acre mown field offers space for games, though you'll need to bring your own equipment as there's no fixed play apparatus.

The accessible facilities are thoughtfully done, with handrails, standard-height loo and low-level washbasin, while everyone benefits from the dedicated veggie-prep sinks and electric points for hairdryers. Skipsea's pub, tearoom-cum-ice-cream-parlour and village shop are all five minutes on foot, and you're ideally placed for the spectacular East Yorkshire coast, nearby stately homes, and birdwatching spots along this quiet stretch of shoreline.

We have just returned from a fabulous camping trip. Judy the owner, is so friendly and helpful. The site itself is stunning and so peaceful and the facilities are immaculate. We loved it so much we extended our stay not once but twice. I cannot recommend this site enough, we can’t wait to come back!

I have just spent a few nights at Mill Farm and I highly recommend choosing it as your next camping spot! The site is flat with large pitches so you have lots of space, the shower and wash block is great and very clean, with plenty of toilets, sinks and in the ladies two showers (cannot comment on the mens!) and lots of water points around the site. The best part for me as a dog owner is the wonderful woodland walk they’ve created which is a short walk across the road. My dog loved it and it was great to be able to let him off the lead and have a quick run around. Mill Farm is set in a great location for access to the coastal path and beach walks, if you don’t want to drive and you can walk to Mr Moo’s Ice Cream Parlour too! The village pub is really nice with a big beer garden. Its only a 20 - 30 minute drive to larger towns (Flamborough, Bridlington, Hornsea etc) The site is immaculate and very well looked after by the owners - highly recommend.

Very peaceful site (which is so nice not to have kids running around all night or music being played late!). Nicely housed facilities - only two showers so would question if this would be enough when site is full. Great pub around the corner, dog walk over the road, attentive lady that owns it. Well kept site - would return.

Last minute getaway at the end of May. The owners are a lovely couple, very attentive and always cleaning! We was able to choose our non-elecric pitch, in the side field. Massive field fenced off with trees and hedges. This is just by the utility block, off the small caravan hook up on main entrance. This delightful little campsite consists of a dainty little onsite pond complete with ducks and wildlife. The utility block perfectly placed between the two fields, consists of a sheltered kitchen wash area, with hot water. On the front of the block are separate ladies and gents toilet/showers. The females has plenty of stalls, sinks and two shower cubicles. The sinks all have mirrors in front of them, hand soap and a paper towel dispenser, the toilets all replenished and cleaned thoroughly daily. The first two toilet cubicles are the only ones that have sanitary bins in them though, but this wasn't too much of an issue as there's a big bin by the sinks. The water is hot, not just warm, but HOT as are the showers. The shower cubicles have a little shelf you can sit on or place your toiletries on. The shower itself is really hot, you do have to push the button in alot but this just helps save water waste. I'm unable to comment on the gents as I did not use them. There is a disabled accessible toilet to the rear of the block, however I think you'll struggle to manoeuvre a wheelchair in there, it does have very sturdy handrails, two mirrors, a sink with soap, hot and cold water taps, a bin and paper towel dispenser. It was very easy to find the campsite and there is so much to do locally within a 10 mile radius. A few minutes drive and you can come to the end of a collapsed road with the North Sea. We were able to climb up and down the small cliff side with the aid of an anchored chain. It was so peaceful to sit on the edge watching and listening to the evening ocean. Hornsea seafront is ten minutes away from the campsite too. Bridlington wildlife park also 7 miles away which I highly recommend, it seems small but it opens up and is really big, tons of different animals from my personal favourites, flamingoes (we were lucky enough to see the 4 day old babies) Luggs the Serval cat, capabaras, zebras, ostriches, meerkats, free roaming peacocks and many many more animals to visit for only £12 per adult! We honestly did not want to leave Mill Farm, it was hands down the best campsite I have ever been to. We shall be returning as will my partner as a solo on the motorbike.
