About Skirlington Leisure Park

Perched on the East Yorkshire coast between Skipsea and Atwick, Skirlington Leisure Park is that rare thing: a holiday park that genuinely caters to every interest and age group without feeling overwhelming. The setting alone is a draw—coastal views on one side, rolling countryside on the other—making it ideal for beach days, dog walks along the shore, or exploring the network of local paths and bridleways by foot or bike. A nine-hole golf course sits next door, while sailing, watersports and pony trekking are all nearby.

On site, facilities run deep: a heated indoor pool with mushroom fountain, fishing lake, well-equipped gym, spa area (sauna, steam room, hot tub), and a spacious playground. The Pavilion Theatre hosts live music and family shows, and when hunger strikes there's a bar-restaurant serving stone-baked pizzas, plus a chippy and convenience store. Reviewers praise the clean, well-maintained grounds and friendly staff, though some note service can be slow at busy times. With pet-friendly pitches and a relaxed vibe, it's a solid all-rounder that won't break the bank.

We stayed in the touring park. There were children scooting all over the roads unsupervised so watch that when you pull onto site. We went to the toilet block on 5 different occasions and NOT once was there any toilet roll and every single toilet had not been flushed properly. So definitely not routinely checked by staff. It would have been nice to have separate pitches for dog owners too as not everyone enjoys setting up next to snarling dogs. Next thing - Staff at the restaurant got my order wrong 3 times which saw me waiting at least 20 minutes for my food when the rest of my party were all tucking into theirs. On the 3rd try it was still not correct but I was so hungry and everyone else had pretty much finished so I didn’t dare complain. Once I stated eating it however it was clear the chicken was raw in places so they had defo tried to rush it out 😭 The park itself had plenty to do; the market was very busy and the indoor/outdoor swimming areas were good. We had to book the indoor swimming the night before and show our passes. Dave the security man was very helpful and pleasant. Close to Hornsea etc so plenty to do not far away! We will probably return but will make provisions to not be in the same position again - i.e bring our own toilet roll or portaloo and use our own cooking facilities.

Lovely holiday parlour to do. Loved the Sunday market that was on. I think 10 o'clock check out is a bit early. Maybe do check out at 11 as check in is at 12 onwards. The grass touring pitches are very close too one another. Maybe make some boarders around each pitch and leave more room between each van. Overall brilliant holiday destination the chippy food was really nice and good prices. Definitely will return but will go for hard standing next time

The caravan was excellent. There were little bits which could have been cleaner. We went for food our first night but the chip shop had a huge queue so we headed to the wonky donkey and it was like a rowdy Irish pub, we sat at a table but due to the racket we decided to head back to the chippy as I wouldn't have been able to chat whilst we ate. The chip shop 🫣 seriously they need to sort the chippy. I was tempted to mount the counter and show them how to run it. There are only about 10 items on the menu. The fryer was cooking to order 🙈 the young girl was only taking orders and the poor woman was running round in circles doing making up the food. We waited about 45 minutes for a sausage supper! There was sausage and chips ready but everyone was being served in order only. That time of night the fryer should have 20 haddock and cod ready in the warmer. The morning we were leaving there was rubbish strewn around the bin area. The amusements and shop were ok. Personally, I wouldn't return to the caravan park. I enjoy a meal and a drink but not in a rowdy pub.

Very satisfied with bronze standard caravan. Price for caravan only £99 for 4 nights was very reasonable for a caravan close to sea cliff ( no access to beach however) but had to pay an additional £50 to bring our dog with us . Accommodation was well equipped warm , and clean. One or two minor issues but nothing major. Location was within easy reach of Hornsea
