Hollies Cottage 11

Martock and the surrounding Somerset countryside draw visitors for the market town's Ham stone architecture, independent shops and cafés, and the National Trust properties scattered within easy reach—Montacute House, Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor among them. Hollies Cottage 11 is a base for exploring all of it, positioned just outside the town in Bower Hinton.

The cottage spreads across three floors. On the ground floor, an open-plan living and dining space has French doors to the garden; the kitchen handles cooking with an electric oven and hob. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two with kingsize beds and one single—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. The top floor holds a fourth kingsize bedroom with its own ensuite shower room. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are provided. The garden is enclosed with a patio and furniture; parking for one car is on site, with further spaces on the road outside.

The property is no-smoking. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Larger amenities are within reach: Yeovil and Crewkerne, both under 15 minutes away, have bigger shops and more entertainment. The Hollies Hotel, adjacent to the complex, offers breakfast, dinner and a bar if cooking isn't on the agenda, plus guest access to its gym and bikes.
