Pottery Cottage

This converted barn sits on an acre at the edge of a village near Ilminster, with the owner's home adjoining. Everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a wood burner and Freeview TV, a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave, two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles), and a shower room. Parking is on site, and you have use of the owner's washing machine. The garden comes with furniture and a barbecue.

Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included, along with the initial fuel for the wood burner. A pub is within a mile and a shop about a quarter-mile away. The location works as a base for reaching the Dorset and east Devon coasts—Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth are all accessible—as well as Taunton, Exeter and Bath. Local attractions include Montacute House, Barrington Court and Forde Abbey. No smoking indoors.
