What a find! I don’t normally stay away too close to home but I wanted a campsite for a couple of nights to allow us to explore more of Somerset. We were greeted warmly by Philip and shown around the site (which amazingly we had ALL to ourselves!) He set up the sauna and cold water bucket and kept in touch by text, which was really helpful. The campsite is beautiful, individual pitches with wild grass growing around full of bees and butterflies. It’s a peaceful site and we walked to Chard Reservoir in the evening after our sauna. The facilities are excellent: modern, clean, light & airy, rainfall showers, soap and paper towels. Perfect. There are no EHU’s but we knew that and it wasn’t a problem, we switched to gas for the kettle and used our portable power bank for charging. There are plugs in the shower room anyway for a hairdryer. We had a brilliant, relaxing and peaceful 2-night stay, even with the heatwave! Thank you Philip 🙏🏻

Knowle Meadow is an absolute hidden gem with all the facilities you could ask for. We stayed in the bell tent which had a comfy double bed and working electricity. The campsite is close enough to a small town for amenities supermarket but far enough removed to be quiet and peaceful. Philip is a fantastic host who is attentive but hands off which was perfect for us. The sauna is a lovely touch and all the spaces are kept in a great condition. Also a great recommendation to visit the local cider farm who we spent a lovely afternoon with. We had an amazing time here and wish we booked another night or 2! You won’t be disappointed!

One of the nicest campsites we’ve stayed at in a while. Firstly, Philip came and shown us around, we was the only campers there so we could chose our pitch. Facilities here are so clean and modern. Just what we needed to reset after 10 days on the road. There’s a little area with a ping pong table and some other little games. We used our own campfire but I’m sure they’re available to rent which is a bonus. The sauna is amazing, Philip still turned it on for us even though we were the only people on site which was lovely. The meadows are beautiful, overgrown areas between each pitch with trimmer pathways which keeps its nice and private. The scenery is so lovely. Overall the campsite is so well kept, Philip and his wife have done an amazing job with all of it. Thank you both, we will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

Knowle meadow camping is a real gem! Best shower and toilet facilities imaginable. Love that its quiet and peaceful. Nice little game area with ping pong table too. The hosts are friendly and maintain the campsite well. Appreciate the commitment to sustainability as well
