The Gite at Wildflowers
Somerset
The Gite at Wildflowers suits couples or small families looking for a rural getaway on a single level. One bedroom contains a zip-and-link bed that converts to twins if needed, plus a pull-out single, so three people can stay comfortably. The shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. An open-plan kitchen, dining and living space occupies most of the ground floor, with large windows facing the garden and the Mendip Hills beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge. A Smart TV is in the living area. Underfloor heating runs throughout.
Outside, a patio with furniture overlooks the view towards the Bristol Channel, and there is a small lawn to the rear. On-site parking for one car is provided. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Children under 8 are not accommodated; smoking is not permitted.
Walks across the Mendips begin from the doorstep, and nine pubs within walking distance offer meals and drinks. Cheddar Gorge and its shops are under 10 minutes by car. The location is peaceful but not isolated, making it practical for those wanting both countryside and access to local attractions.
