The Retreat at Deer Park Farm

The Retreat at Deer Park Farm is fully equipped for self-catering holidays. The open-plan ground floor brings together a living space with a 45-inch smart TV, DVD player and Xbox, a separate dining area, and a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave. Three bedrooms, all en-suite, comprise a king bed and two doubles. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with underfloor heating throughout. The property sleeps six and accommodates one dog at no extra charge.

Outside, a large enclosed garden with patio and barbecue opens onto 120 acres of natural woodland. The private hot tub seats seven. Parking is provided 350 yards away; you can drive to the door to unload, then use a golf buggy for the rest of your stay. An external utility room contains a washing machine and freezer. South Somerset's attractions—the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Clarks Factory Village, Glastonbury and various historic houses—are within driving distance, though the woodland setting equally suits those who prefer to stay put.
