Woodpecker Lodge is a contemporary single-storey building on Redlake Farm near Langport, surrounded by five and a half acres of open countryside. The whole property is yours alone: two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with zip-and-link singles), two bathrooms, and a unified living space that flows from lounge through dining to kitchen. French doors open onto a decked terrace where a private hot tub sits facing the rural landscape beyond.
The kitchen has a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave if you want to cook; the lounge has a flatscreen TV and leather sofas for quieter evenings. Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with heated towel rails. The essentials—heating, hot water, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all covered. There is an unfenced lake in the grounds. Smoking is not permitted.
Somerton village is close by with its market, cafés and restaurants. Wells Cathedral lies a short drive away, and Cheddar Gorge is within reach for a day out. The setting suits anyone looking to step back from routine, whether that means soaking in the hot tub or using the farm as a base for exploring Somerset.

A really lovely place to stay with everything that you could possibly need to have the perfect holiday. The property is Dog friendly and the garden very secure, our small dog couldn't find anywhere to squeeze through. The location is perfect for visiting nearby towns and villages etc and it's in a lovely peaceful area. We found the owners to be fantastic, they were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Fiona also makes really tasty cakes. Needless to say that we'll be returning to Woodpecker Lodge in the future for another fantastic holiday.

Lovely hosts, who go the extra mile (they got us a birthday gift and cards, and left us dog treats) and are very accomodating and kind. Comfy bed, good internet and television set up, well kept, dog friendly, and quiet. Great getaway into the countryside, close to Glastonbury, Wells, and Bath. Would happily stay again!
