Ely's medieval cathedral and the market town itself lie within easy reach, as do the Fens for walking and cycling. A pub sits just a mile away, and the countryside around Huntingdon offers quiet exploration on foot or by car. Hill Farm Cottage serves as a proper base for this corner of Cambridgeshire, rather than somewhere you simply pass through.
The cottage is detached and yours alone. Downstairs holds a sitting room with a 50" TV and a lit woodburner, plus a kitchen/dining space equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine included. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Upstairs, a double bedroom and a twin room both have sloping ceilings; a balcony overlooks the garden and an unfenced lake 100 metres from the house. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, and initial logs for the burner come with your stay. Two cars can park on site, and an electric charging point is available by arrangement.
The property suits couples and families wanting space and quiet. There is an unfenced lake in the grounds, which matters if you are bringing young children. One dog is welcome. No smoking indoors.
