Sublime dining experience at the Crown and Punchbowl. On our 2+ week tour of England, the best dinner we have enjoyed! The salmon and the chicken were excellent, as was the sticky toffee pudding (2 portions ordered!). The rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean. Finally, breakfast was excellent quality, all served with good humour and friendly service. Hope to be back!

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Crown & Punchbowl! We started with the spinach bonbons, which were a unique and delicious way to kick off the meal. For the mains, the chicken and leek pie was hearty and flavorful, served beautifully over greens. I had the fish and chips, and it was spot on—the fish was perfectly cooked with a great crunch, and the presentation on the branded paper was a nice touch. Everything was served promptly and with a smile. Highly recommend if you’re looking for perfectly executed gastropub classics!

Driven past many times but never gone in for a meal. Definitely will return again. Good choice of food for all budgets, was going to go for steak but changed at last minute to the burger (saving a few pounds too!) Great choice! One of the best burgers I have had, please don’t take it off the specials menu! Finished with an incredible tangy orange and chocolate desert. Great service.

We have recently returned from a wonderful day/night celebrating our wedding. The service, food, atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made it the perfect day. The rooms were all so clean and comfortable and the personal touches were so appreciated. Thank you to Barbara and the team. We have a beautiful memory to treasure.
