Ostler's Cottage dates to the 1700s and sits in a quiet courtyard on a working farm, surrounded by original stone buildings and an enclosed orchard that overlooks pasture. The whole property is yours alone, with parking for four cars and a lawned garden with patio and seating area. Stone-built and full of character, it occupies the South Kesteven borderlands where Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire meet—a location that puts you within reach of attractions across all three counties without the noise of a town.
The cottage is arranged over one floor. Two bedrooms sleep four: one holds a double bed with its own shower room, the other two singles with a bathroom offering both bath and shower. The living space combines a sitting room and dining area with Freeview television, and the kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, so you can prepare proper meals or manage laundry. One dog stays free. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, and the wood burner comes with initial fuel included.
Newark's castle and cobbled market centre lie five miles away, with museum displays and river trips on offer. Belvoir Castle, Burghley House and Belton House sit within half an hour's drive, as does Southwell with its ancient minster. The stone town of Stamford and Lincoln's cathedral and castle are under twenty miles distant. A village shop, butcher and pub are three miles off; supermarkets and further dining options within four. No smoking indoors.
