The Barn Hotel & Spa

This is our 2nd visit here now in 6 months, and I dare say it will be our new regular getaway for special occasions. The staff make this place extra special, and nothing is too much of an ask. Philip is such an amazing guy! We came for a relaxing break and that's exactly what we got. We found the bar area a little roudy to eat in in the evening, we only had to ask and was allowed to eat in the relaxed ambient lounge area which absolutely made our night. We bought along our own Birthday cake and wine, which was happily all allowed with glasses and plates provided by the staff. The food we had was amazing, I cannot fault a single plate we had. The breakfast buffet selection is more than ample. The evening meals were amazing and to top it off the sourdough pizza room service menu is just the best pizza I've ever tasted! The heath Spa area isn't very big, but this is another plus for me, it's just enough without being overwhelmed in a huge busy spa. The pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna are nice, and I enjoyed bumping into regular very welcoming spa members too. Keep up the good work guys, can't wait for next visit to see how the refurbed gym area looks 💪☺️ Ps give Phillip a pay rise 😜

We had the most amazing night here. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was also very good all tho i did think the continental could have offered more, fresh fruit would have been perfect. Room was nice but furniture was a bit dated but very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Spa and pool was amazing. Would definitely book again

Me and my wife came here for a much needed getaway from the everyday stresses of work, life and the kids lol. We checked in our room and went straight to the pool. The spa facilities were fantastic and took the stress away instantly. We had a drink at the bar then had a 3 course meal at the restaurant which was amazing. The venison in particular. All the staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit. Definitely going back. Also breakfast was absolutely fire 🔥

As a regular guest I get the opportunity to witness more than others. I would like to extend my gratitude to Julia on reception, who always makes guests feel welcome and tries her to accommodates guests needs no matter how difficult. And given this is a 3 star hotel the service is exceptional. Its people like Julia who make you want to come back as a guest, professional, understanding and able to manage reception under pressure. Location is super, just off the A1 and near Grantham, the rooms are 3 star hotel rooms some better than others. Sadly the cleaning team are not as attentive, I don't normally complain however I did have a black scum mark around the bath from previous guests. There is a big change over of staff on the cleaning team so Sadly it does sometimes effect the quality of your room. But I'm sure if this was mentioned at the time it would have been rectified straight away, especially if mentioned to reception. But overall you can't fault it for a 3 star hotel, great facilities, pool, gym, sauna, beauty treatments and more. I would like Julia to have a form of acknowledgement for making every stay perfect. Thank you
