Stone Lodge
South Kesteven
Stone Lodge is a detached cottage where everything sits on a single level—living space, both bedrooms, kitchen and shower room all without steps. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed; the second has two singles. A woodburner warms the living and dining room, which opens via French doors to a stone-paved garden with seating and a barbecue. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are supplied, as is the initial fuel for the woodburner. One dog stays free.
The village location puts a pub and restaurant within a two-minute walk, and the Manor Stables Craft Centre with its café is equally close. Three miles of country lanes thread through the surrounding area, popular with walkers and cyclists. Grantham lies ten miles away; Newark with its 12th-century castle and market square is twelve miles; Lincoln, fifteen miles distant, holds a cathedral considered among Europe's finest Gothic buildings. Belvoir Castle, Belton House, RAF Cranwell and various Lincolnshire nature reserves are all within reach for day trips. Local activities include golf, fishing and horse riding. Private parking accommodates three cars. No smoking indoors.
