A converted barn in the South Norfolk countryside, The Barn is a one-bedroom property sleeping two on a single storey. Everything is on the ground floor: a living and dining space with Freesat, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a bedroom with a kingsize bed and Freeview, and an ensuite shower room. Parking for two cars is on site, and there is a back garden with patio and furniture.

The setting is rural marshland dotted with open fields. Walking starts from your door—the Wherrymans Way footpath runs nearby along the River Yare, and the area draws birdwatchers hoping to see marsh harriers, kestrels and barn owls. Loddon village, known as the gateway to the Southern Broads, is a couple of miles away and has a riverbank, shops, cafes and pubs. Norwich is twenty minutes' drive, and the Suffolk and Norfolk coasts—Southwold, Winterton, Cromer and beyond—are all within reach for a change of scenery. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. Smoking is not permitted.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Myself my husband and our 4 children loved everything about it! Big rooms, comfy beds, games, books, lovely garden plus everything you need and more in the kitchen! I would highly recommend a holiday here everything about it was perfect!

As a group of 7 adults, a child, baby & a dog, we all had the pleasure of staying at the Barn recently for 3 nights for a special occasion. The view of the Barn when we arrived was very impressive . It is tucked away from main roads, so we felt that we were properly away (but there is wifi) There was plenty of parking outside the front of the property, that is secure with tall gates, which was good as we didn't want the child or dog to escape! Inside, the bedrooms had lots of space, with 2 of them having en-suites. They were all very clean, & beds were extremely comfortable. The lounge was large & also had a separate 'snug' that had a dart board & tv etc. The kitchen had all the utensils that we would need, the oven was large, plenty of room to store food in the fridge & freezer as well as having a large separate dining area & laundry room. There was also a swimming pool on the site, which had to be booked & paid for online. Outside, there was plenty of space for the dog to run about & had extras such as a rotary clothes line, firepit, bbq & a goal post, which was very well used!! We all agree that this was a lovely place to stay & will definitely return when we have our next special celebration. Caroline was a fantastic host.

We had a lovely holiday at the Barn, great space, especially the garden for our Great Dane to run around. BUT, when removing bedding on our final day it was shock horror, the bedding was absolutely disgusting, stains of blood etc on the duvets and as for the actual pillows I was disgusted. I would not have given them to a dog to sleep on. I did phone our travel company to let them know straight away. The owners reply was they didn't realise as the cleaners didn't inform them that they needed to be renewed and offered us reduced stay if we booked again. No thank you. If we had known they were filthy we would have packed up and gone home. Now I will be checking every holiday destination as I arrive after this. So no I would NOT recommend the Barn to any of my friends. First holiday I have ever left a bad review. 👎
