About Sunnydale Farm Camping and Caravan Site
Sunnydale Farm sits on the eastern edge of Southampton, close enough to the city centre for an easy bus ride in but rural enough to feel like a proper break from urban life. The working farm setting gives the site a deliberately simple, low-key character, with a good mix of hardstanding and grass pitches – including fully serviced options and a handful of premier hardstanding pitches for those who want maximum convenience. Electric hook-ups, showers, toilets and drinking water points cover the essentials, while free WiFi and year-round opening add practical flexibility.
Dogs are welcome on leads, and the farm layout means there's space for children to run around safely, though there's no dedicated playground or on-site shop, so the nearby bus service or a car is useful for stocking up. The location makes it a practical base for visiting Southampton's museums and waterfront without paying city-centre hotel prices, while still being within reach of the New Forest and the Hamble estuary for day trips. It suits couples and families who want a straightforward, no-frills touring pitch rather than a facilities-heavy holiday park.

What visitors say
This is a camping ground. We (the royal we) booked a spot for a tent which had a power hookup. Lucky for us, ours was next to a standpipe (shared) The plot was spacious and clean. This is day one. We have been told where to walk for various activities. We will walk to the coast tomorrow (20-30 min walk) There are 4 or so pubs within walking distance. The reception was welcoming. One of the staff members walked us to our spot. I may add to this review later when I have tested the different offerings. Update. After 3 nights, I can say I am still happy with the place. The staff are ever-present and helpful/nice people. The shower block did not work too well for me, the water pressure was not great. I managed to wash. The toilets were clean and usable with plenty of toilet paper and soap was available 95% of the time. The area itself is lovely with several nearby villages, like Hamble - which is beautiful. One word of warning - there is a Tesco store around 1 mile from the camp, we used it twice, the car park became jammed on both visits, taking about 20 minutes to leave when we were ready - this appears to be normal.

Fantastic place with perfectly flat grass pitches. Excellent spacious pitches and clean facilities. We’ve just stayed this weekend, Fri 29th May 2026, as we were watching the Take That concert at Southampton Football Stadium, which is only around 15 minutes away, so it was ideal. There is a bus stop right outside the camp every half hour, costing just £1.00 each way. We stayed two nights and were made to feel very welcome — the new wardens were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It makes a real difference when your hosts are pleasant and help you settle in. So thank you, guys. x We’ll definitely be back again.

We had a really great stay at sunny dale campsite this very Hot weekend. We took our VW Bus for its very first adventure. Lovely campsite, very clean and quite. And Stella and Bill are such great owners, very approachable. Sarah & steve

Amazing site, they went above and beyond to help us out. Unfortunately we had an emergency and had to leave very late in the evening, and the staff came out to help us leave asap. The toilet and showers were immaculate, shower was amazing temperature too. Pitches are huge as well !
