What visitors say
Such a lovely experience , especially when it’s free , obvs donations are accepted too. 2 lovely men running it who were very friendly and polite. Shuts a bit early on a Sunday but other than that it was extremely clean too and an amazing view

A great historical gem of Southend, well worth travelling on and a must for funicular railway fans

A little gem. An excellent way to get to the beach from our hotel which was 2 mins away. Operated by volunteers (Nigel is one of them in the picture). At the time cost 50p each one way but really worth more just for the experience. There are steps for those who appreciate and can manage the exercise. Donation’s appreciated.
