Gorran Haven is a fishing village on Cornwall's south coast, within reach of Mevagissey and the South West Coast Path, and it's here that The Llawnroc Hotel makes its home on Chute Lane. With just eight rooms across two floors, it has the feel of a small, personally-run place rather than a large hotel, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available in the room.
The restaurant and bar look out over the sea, and there's a snack bar and outdoor seating for guests who'd rather eat outside. Kids meals and family rooms make it workable for those travelling with children, while a lift and accessible rooms cover guests with mobility needs. A games room, garden and free on-site parking round out the practical side, along with free WiFi and luggage storage for anyone breaking a longer journey.
Outside the hotel, the coastline offers walking and cycling routes, watersports and fishing, plus pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The nearby beaches and Mevagissey's harbour make for an easy day out, and with only eight rooms to fill, The Llawnroc tends to feel quiet even in season.

We decided to head down for a coffee to have a catch up with some friends. This coffee turned in to many hours later and a few more drinks that coffee. It's such a beautiful place to relax in and enjoy being with friends catching up. I would highly recommend visiting. The staff are so welcoming, very attentive and can't honestly do enough for you. It's such a lovely environment and the décor is amazing! I honestly can't wait to make this a regular coffee and catch up venue!

What a little gem of a place. Beautiful views, pretty garden, very comfortable terrace seating area, inside the hotel is stunning and best of all the staff are so helpful and accommodating. This place deserves to do well

The Llawnroc was a beautiful and exquisite location we visited while touring the local area. Sea views from the patio area are amazing and cant be recommended enough while enjoying a coffee or alcoholic beverage.
