About Mornington Hotel

Mornington Hotel suits travellers who want an easy, no-fuss stay in St Helier without worrying about where to leave the car, thanks to free on-site parking, or where to get online, with free WiFi throughout. It's a practical choice for families and anyone touring Jersey rather than staying put in one spot.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. A 24-hour reception and lift make arrivals and daily life simple, while luggage storage and a laundry service help on longer trips. Breakfast is served on-site, packed lunches can be arranged for days out, and there's a bar at the property for an evening drink.

Beyond the hotel, guests can walk nearby, head out for golf or fishing, or make use of watersports in the area, and there's no shortage of pubs, restaurants and entertainment close by in St Helier and neighbouring St Saviour. It's a comfortable, well-equipped base rather than a destination in itself.

What a wonderful hotel. Reception lobby was quirky but distinctive in a positive way. Hosts, Christina and Phillip were very welcoming and their local knowledge certainly helped us to get the most out of our stay. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient with special mentions for Dora who serviced our room each day and Ana and her colleague whose name we don’t know who looked after us at breakfast time. Spacious room with a delightful four poster bed and ample storage room. The Mornington is ideally situated with a beautiful park across the road with a wide range of floral gardens. If you walk through the park you are about another 3 minutes away from a beautiful but uncrowded white sandy beach. The main shopping area in St Helier is just over a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and has an abundance of well known shops. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to other holidaymakers.

We stayed here for a night in July, with our dogs. The staff were very nice and accommodating, lovely with our dogs The hotel looked like it is great the rest of the year and has heating facilities. Unfortunately for us, we were in the middle of a heatwave and our room was on the last floor. This meant the windows don't open much (for safety reasons) which made it very hot in our room. The staff managed to source a fan for us (thank you!) but just wanted to flag that in the case of high temperatures (which are rare in Jersey), this hotel is unfortunately not adapted for people/dogs sensitive to the heat.

A traditional family run hotel within walkable distance of St Helier town centre. The proprietors are very warm and friendly with a great sense of humour. I love the bohemian feel of the reception area and the dining room; lots of interesting exhibits and décor. The room was very clean and comfortable. They serve a plentiful continental breakfast with delicious freshly baked pastries. All in all it was excellent value for money. I will definitely book again for my next trip to Jersey.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely, helpful, friendly owners. Exceptionally clean. Lovely quirky bar with great prices. Yes rooms are dated but doesnt detract from stay - think of them as retro. The bedroom was spotless. Fantastic breakfast and as I had an early flight the owner provided a lovely picnic for me in lieu of breakfast. A very special touch. Would def recommend but if you like it quiet ask for non roadside room on the top floor (you can hear people walking above you if they're heavy on their feet on first floor). Great location with lovely bars and restaurants close by.
