About The Royal Yacht

Four restaurants and five bars set the tone at The Royal Yacht, a 109-room hotel on Weighbridge in St Helier. Breakfast is served on site each morning, and with so many kitchens and bars under one roof, guests can choose a different spot for every meal or drink without leaving the building.

Rooms and suites are styled with a chic, contemporary edge, and all come with air conditioning and free WiFi. Beyond the dining and drinking options, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and a spa and sauna for guests who want to slow down between meals. A garden, lift access, luggage storage, meeting rooms and concierge services round out the practical side, and free on-site parking is included.

The hotel sits within easy reach of St Helier itself, with St Saviour also nearby for those keen to explore further afield in Jersey. It suits visitors who want a well-equipped base with plenty of eating and drinking choice close at hand, rather than having to venture out each evening.

Lovely and lively hotel. The staff are very welcoming and were helpful and pleasant throughout our stay, in all areas of the hotel. This makes a huge difference to the vibe of a hotel .. this one has a positive upbeat feel. Although we did not use the spa, I did use the pool. The whole area was very tranquil and had everything you needed. Our room overlooked the museum and cafe, so had a lovely ambient vibe out on the balcony above a little cafe. You can't really see the marina or sea, though they do have a roof top terrace we didnt use that probably has lovely views over the city. The room was spacious, clean and very comfy. The breakfast was amazing with a large buffet choice and freshly cooked items on request. The hotel is centrally located for all the cafes and bars, so is surrounded by the buzz of happy people. Would not suit those looking for a quiet, tranquil spot. It's close to the bus station, with easy access to the rest of the island. There is also a taxi rank right outside. A lovely and lively place to stay.

Amazing hotel. This was our second stay at the Royal Yacht, and it's a fantastic hotel. The location is excellent, overlooking Liberation Square and the harbour area. The hotel always has a nice vibe to it and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The bar area can get busy in the daytime and evenings as it's a popular eating and drinking spot given its prime location and its relaxing vibe. Both times we've stayed in the Platinum rooms which overlook the bar and harbour area and we've had an amazing stay. The rooms were well equipped with comfy king size beds, minibar, very roomy and amazing views. Breakfast is very good and pretty extensive. Last time out we tried the grill night in the steak restaurant and the meal was fantastic. The spa and pool area and gym are also very well equipped and excellent quality. All round this is a great location and an amazing place to stay in St Hellier, you can walk pretty much anywhere from the hotel and the bus station is only a few minutes from the hotel if you are travelling around the island by bus.

Every year on May 9th, 6 of us eat at the Sirocco restaurant in the past it has been excellent, this year we were very disappointed, when we arrived we had to swap 2 seats with other tables to find one's where the springs hadn't sagged, 1 of the party is coeliac so has to eat gluten-free, Which the waiter found hard to understand what was required, we all ordered Steaks, 3 fillets, 3 ribeye, the ribeye had a lot of gristle, Especially mine. I would estimate 30% of mine was inedible, other 2 similar but not as bad. only 2 of us were satisfied with their fillets, The chips were obviously frozen chips we expected better. We also had to request napkins and condiments, Salt pepper mustard. Next year we will definitely go elsewhere.

Great hotel for a base to explore Jersey. It's quite a big hotel with much more than I had expected, in terms of bars and restaurants. The hotel is a mix of an old building with a new building built to the side. Both have a nautical theme but completely different styles: the old building is classic wood panelling and portholes whereas the newer building is much more cruise ship: lots of neon lighting. Nothing wrong with that per se, but could probably benefit from a refurbishment. Our room was fine. Had everything we needed, but again, just a bit tired and ready for a refurb. The spa is excellent so definitely make time for that. There is a nightclub in the hotel. If you're a light sleeper that might be problematic for you. It wasn't an issue for us.
